These calls are not medical evaluations and do not include clinical advice. New Patient appointments are full clinical evaluations for individuals who are ready to begin psychiatric treatment or explore advanced interventional options. These visits include diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, and discussion of next steps based on your goals and history.

New Patient evaluations are conducted by Randy Freeman, DO, or by another supervised member of our psychiatric or interventional team. These are medical visits and may involve diagnosis, prescription planning, safety assessment, and documentation needed to determine clinical appropriateness or to support insurance authorization for treatments such as TMS or Spravato.

It can treat depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder and other brain-related conditions. It’s noninvasive and can help when other treatment approaches aren’t effective. Regular TMS: 6 week protocol - 5 days a week for 30min
Accelerated TMS: 5 day protocol - 8-10hours a day receiving 10 treatments per day (each treatment is about 10min long)
Accelerated TMS: ONE-D Protocol - 20 treatments in a single day!

Dr. Randy Freeman is a physician and Child & Adolescent trained psychiatrist in East Providence, Rhode Island. He works with children, adolescents, adults, & families.

As a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist many of Dr. Freeman’s families seek help understanding their child’s struggles, emotions or behaviors. Dr. Freeman is passionate about helping patients and families see each other’s perspective and work together to grow as a family. He helps many adults as well meeting them where they are in their mental health journey in a non-judgmental fashion.

Additionally Dr. Freeman now provides IV Ketamine infusions for Adults (18+) with treatment resistant depression, PTSD, OCD, & GAD. See his website for a full description of services. Ketamine is off label but studies have shown it to be effective in 70% of patients.

Dr. Freeman has training in the diagnosis and treatment of all psychiatric disorders. Treatment options include therapy (CBT, DBT, Family therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy), mindfulness, meditation, and medication management. Dr. Freeman is a firm believer that learning mindfulness practices can help patients and families better manage stress and achieve greater focus.

Dr. Freeman received his bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Music from the University of Tulsa, he went to medical school at Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, he then trained in General Psychiatry at the University of Oklahoma. While in residency he was the first Psychiatrist to complete a LEND Fellowship (Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities). He then did his fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at Maine Medical Center and took his first job at Brown and Bradley Hospital at the Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities. He was previously a Clinical Instructor at Brown University.
